Found her! I’ve got my blue baby! Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome…Nilima!
Nilima is Bengali for ‘Sky Blue.’ If you look at a picture of the cat she is in fact sky blue in color, so the name is very fitting. Plus, ‘Bengali’ makes me think of a Bengal tiger, which she is modeled after.
I searched for hours to find Rak’shiri, the rare level 57 tiger in Winterspring. That cat has avoided me to this very day. I finally decided that since Rak and Shy-Rotam share the teal tiger skin, I would rather have one guaranteed to appear. One problem: I had already completed the quest to kill Shy. I mentioned in general chat the other day that I would like to tame Shy and if anyone had yet to kill her to let me know. I was given immediate response from a Blood Elf hunter who was currently on the quest. I made a deal with him and he was more than happy to oblige. He would let me tame Shy the first time around, and in return I would give him a few gold and help defeat her.
This was not an easy task. I forgot about Shy’s fear ability. I tried to drop a frost trap, however when mine failed me, my friend was able to drop one, successfully snaring her. The tame went smoothly from there.
